Simpatico’s 6th Tip of Christmas is written in curly white font at the top of the image. The background is dark blue, and around the bottom edge are some iced gingerbread biscuits, in the shape of stars, bells and a gingerbread man. There is also a bundle of cinnamon sticks and a dusting of icing sugar. In the centre of the image is a bundle of cleaning items including sponges, scrubbing brush, spray bottle and rubber gloves. The Simpatico logo is in the bottom corner and is wearing a jolly red Christmas hat. Wishing you a very happy Christmas

Tip 6- Clean out the charging port

The charging port on your phone is a little collection point for dust and dirt, and not many people realise that it needs cleaning on a regular basis. You might find that one day your phone refuses to charge, and it’s probably because the charging port is full of fluff.  We have protective cases and screens to protect the phone from general wear and tear, but nothing to protect the charging port, hence the reason we need to keep this vital aspect of the phone nice and clean.

Before you start cleaning, make sure the phone is off.  You can use a toothpick to gently dislodge any fluff lurking in the port, but be very gentle and don’t prod too far, and definitely don’t use any metal tools.  Some suggest you can use compressed air to clean out the port, or a soft bristled toothbrush or paintbrush.
