The iPhone 17 is the standard model in Apple’s 2025 lineup, featuring a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate, Always-On capability, and peak brightness up to around 3,000 nits outdoors. It’s powered by Apple’s A19 chip and includes a dual rear camera setup: a 48MP Fusion main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide with much higher resolution, and a 2× optical-quality telephoto element built in. The front camera also gets an upgrade with a higher-resolution 18MP sensor using Center Stage features. Overall, it offers many of the display, imaging, and performance improvements of the Pro line, but without some of the more advanced optics, cooling, or zoom range of the Pro and Pro Max.
